Peter Markowich (Cambridge/KAUST): On PDE models for (some) socio-economic problems: price formation

We present and analyse partial differential equation models in the socio-economic sciences: 1) a highly nonstandard free boundary problem in price formation 2) a Boltzmann equation for opinion formation in human societies with strong leaders 3) a continuity equation with an eikonal field equation coupling.
