HOC-SA: A Grid Service Architecture for Higher-Order Components
The Higher-Order Component Service Architecture is a service-oriented
approach to component-based grid programming. Partially implemented
Grid Services are offered to the user as higher-order components (HOCs)
holding reusable and composable patters of parallelism.
This talk declares the position of HOC-SA within the
variety of distributed computing technologies available, describes
our present implementation of HOC-SA using OGSA-DAI, a framework for integrating
grids with distributed databases, and reports on performance measurements
for an example application.
