My name is Angela Holtmann and I studied mathematics as a diploma student from October 1994 to July 2000 (with emphasis on representation theory and biology as my second subject) at Bielefeld University.
During my diploma studies, I was a member of the students' representatives. Among other things, I was responsible for the lecture evaluations, a member of the committee for tutorials (4 years) and of the faculty's main committee (1 year, and 2 years as a deputy member). Furthermore, I worked in the "Projekt: Studienberatung Online"), which was a joint project of the students' representatives from 12 different faculties, in which we wrote a lot of web sites for an online course guidance, some of which still exist (in modified form).
I wrote my diploma thesis and my PhD thesis in the subject representation theory of finite dimensional algebras. My supervisor was Claus Michael Ringel. From October 2000 to July 2003, I was also a tutor for different mathematical courses. As scientific assistant at Bielefeld University (from August 2003 to November 2009), I also worked (as the chair) in the committee for tutorials (from October 2003 to October 2006). From October 2006 to June 2008, I was a member of the Faculty's main committee, again.Since December 2009, I have been employed at the University of Münster at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, where I am particularly responsible for subject-related academic student counselling and study coordination. From January 2010 to June 2016, I was a member of the Committee for Teaching and Student Affairs of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science. Since June 2016, I have been a member of the Faculty's Study Advisory Board (which is about the same as the successor board of the committee).
In addition to the coordinating tasks directly at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, which also includes working on accreditations and reaccreditations, I have also been involved in some interfaculty working groups.
Since May 2016, I have been working as a representative of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science on the introduction of a new campus management system at Münster University.
