As the title suggests, the main objective of the conference is the interplay between groups, group actions and C*-algebras. The conference is in the tradition of the two conferences

Extended workshop on groups and group actions, Ottawa 2010 and
Brazilian Operator Algebras Symposium, Florianopolis 2011

which have been organized with support of a joint research project between the mathematical departments of the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina at Florianopolis, Brazil, and the University of Ottawa, Canada. Since there is a long term insitutional collaboration between the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Florianopolis, and the University of Münster, we decided to organize the third conference of this series in Münster in order to maintain and increase the partnership between our institutions and (hopefully) to trigger new joint research. However, the conference is open to all researchers in the field, and we do have some limited support for young researchers in the field who want to participate.

There will be a number of invited lectures which we shall soon anounce and we plan for about 10 contributed 30-minute lectures. If you are interested to participate and to give one of the contributed lecture we would ask you to copy the following application form into an email and send the form to the organizers not later than May 31, 2013.
